One of my favorite daytime drinks is horchata. This ice-cold Mexican non-alcoholic beverage is beloved by adults and kids alike. The main ingredients are rice water, sugar, and cinnamon. Because I adhere to a low-carb eating lifestyle, here’s is my more keto-friendly version of horchata. Check out this recipe below.

This is my low carb version of the Mexican horchata

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. of water
  • 1.1 oz. of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp. of cinnamon
  • 3 ice cubes

Instructions

    1. Pour all ingredients into a blender (setting on crush ice)
    2. Blend for 1 min
    3. Serve drink
